You have a WRT54GS 4.0 as confirmed on the autopsy page http://www.linksysinfo.org/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=6. Sveasoft TalismanBasic 1.1 supports this version. "Freeman" which is not a sveasoft release and does not support your version. Alchmey 1.0 (Public) does not support this model either. You do have other distros that support your model as well.

All publicly available 3rd party firmware is located in the downloads section http://www.linksysinfo.org/modules.php?name=Downloads. If you want Talisman, you'll have to register at http://www.sveasoft.com and pay for the yearly support subscription of $20 USD.

Have a look at dd-wrt, openwrt, tofu, hyperwrt (just to name a few)

Get yourself free DD-WRT; I'm using v23 successfully in WDS mode acorss to WRT54G.

Make sure you read the FLASH instructions first, as the v4 WRT54G has a limitation compared to its predecessors that requires it to be flashed with a'mini' version of the firmware, before being flashed with the full version.

Well worth the effort, and my FLASHes went as smoothly as you could expect.

That router will also work well with HyperWRT Thibor, if you want another free alternative.

Satori and Alchemy(public version 1) are old. Like others have posted you could probably get what you want out of other 3rd party without using Sveasoft. Comes down to do you want to pay for support or rely on the community like this one for support? Really there are many good versions out there feature rich and well supported in the community. For a quick list read the firmware tracker http://www.linksysinfo.org/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=35
