    just a question:
when the WRT54GS work the cisco logo glow in yellow color that's ok but i notice when i shut off the router for 30seconds and turn on again there is a quick light flash in white color! not in yellow!
there is a white light hide behind the Cisco logo? have you notice this thing in other 54GS router?

Yes there are 2 LED back there. In software you can pick which one you want turned on, or you could have both on at once I suppose for a white/orange effect. Linksys uses these LED's to indicate steps in the Secure Easy Setup process. Other firmware use these LED and the button for other purposes.

Yes, you can turn them on at any command line.

The command syntax (as stolen from Thibor's page at http://www.thibor.co.uk/#led ) is:

    led <white/amber/dmz/diag/wl> <on/off> [...]

So, to turn on the amber and white (which are the two LED's behind the Cisco logo), issue the command:

    led white on am on

You can have a lot of fun writing scripts which should work in any of the firmwares, HyperWRT or DD-WRT or whatever. Enjoy!
