I have 2 linksys wrt54GL routers: Router A works as WLAN-Router, Router B works as wireless client: It gets an IP from Router A und creates a new subnetwork. This works fine. Now I want to make the same, but without using WLAN. I connected a LAN-Port from Port A with the WAN Port from B and set the WAN settings on router B to DHCP. But this doesn’t work. The status is always on “renewingâ€. Anyone an idea?

I found the reason: Never disable the "Enable Wireless" checkbox when the wireless mode is set to "wireless client". After changing the mode to "access point" you can disable the "Enable Wireless" checkbox and then the WAN-Port works normally and gets an IP-adress.
