I am using the Linksys WRT54GL v1.1 with the Tomato Firmware ver: v1.07.1039. I have this wierd problem where every now and then the wireless network just disappears. I have two laptops that are connected and suddenly they will loose their internet connection. I try to reconnect to the linksys router, but its not in the list of prefered routers. (Its like the computer never saw the linksys router to begin with). I have tried to reboot the computers and router, no luck. It seems to go away within 5 to 10 minutes. I think the firmware is running a test that disables the wireless connection, but i cannot find a setting to turn it off. I have tried the dd-wqrt and hyperwrt firmwares and this issue doesn't occur but i really like the Tomato one and don't want to loose it.

I have tried to look in the log files and cannot find anything that tells me what is going on. I have moved the laptops around the place and it doesn't help and

Can anyone give me some advice on how to fix this?

    Thanks in advance

With the router turned on, hold the reset buton down for 60 seconds. Unplug power and reboot the router. Log back in and set only your SSID in the router and see if it happens any more.
