Linksys loves to spit out devices based on the uPnP standard with software that completely crashes everything in it's path. The software for the WMB54G is unstable and is crappy. From what I can tell, it takes the audio output through directmedia, I think, encodes that to an mp3 stream and sends it over to the bridge via uPnP. Has anyone tried some 3rd party software with this device? I have old tube radios that I have fixed up and restored to working condition, and want a network audio device connected to them. I need something operating system independant to utilize the device to play mp3 streams and mp3s. Anyone have this device?
