ok so on my pc upstairs I just recently installed my WMP54G card into my pc...I connect to a 2WIRE 1701HG Gateway wireless router (downstairs)...for a good three hours...I then installed bitcomet, started a download in bit comet and about halfway through the download I lost connection. So the client for my wireless card picks up my 2WIRE router at around 70% signal...then when I go to connect (after entering my WEP) it says "Cannot Associate with the Access Point"

    so....what do I do?

hai as i understand that you are using the wireless connection utility software which comes along with your WMP54G wireless card.If you are working in a windows XP computer please uninstall thye adapter and the utility and again install the drivers alone for the device because if you use the linksys software it will say not able to associate but you will be able to go online so try to use the wireless zero configuration utility which is available in the windows xp by default for futher clarifications mail me to sreevas.v@gmail.com
