My product: WMP54GS Version 1.0 driver version

Symptoms: Could not connect to my WRT54. Wireless network would be listed and would refresh perfectly, but would hang on 'waiting for network' before kicking back to the wireless window. Linksys utility and windows zero yielded the same results.

Solution: After 2 hours with Linksys technical support, swapping PCI slots 5 times and re-installing the drivers about 10 times, the solution was: Changing router SSID channel from 6 to 11.

AHHH!!! Maybe I'm a complete dumbass <insert replies here>, but I could have sworn it was a hardware or driver problem with the adapter.

Why can't windows XP be smart enough to say. "Channel 6 looks awfully busy, perhaps you should try a different channel, DUMBASS"

Anyhoo, hope this helps - the problem didn't seem obvious to me.

If you performed a wireless scan for other networks did you pick anything up?
