Any technical reason why WPA2 cannot be used with client bridge mode? I'd like to understand whether it's a limitation or simply a bug.

I wonder whether WPA + AES truly is the same thing as WPA2 in terms of security (I do use a strong password, 63 random characters generated by a good random number generator)

Any chance to see WPA2 working in client bridge mode in future Tomatoes?

    thank you

The Broadcom chipset driver in Tomato (and most other open firmwares) does not support it. Unfortunately, that driver is closed-source and would have to be reverse engineered to even start addressing this...

For now, put the router in WPA/WPA2 mode and the bridge in WPA mode and that'll work.
