    hey all

i got my self a WRT54GS router with the latest Tomato on it

i got a laptop with Xp and a WPC54V4 card...

over the past 2 months i have been having issues with my card...

it seems that i have to enter my Security Key everytime i want to use the internet...

it doesnt want to connect automatically... some times it just sits there for hours saying "acuquiring network address" or "limited or no connectivity " and some times it shows that it is connected to the network but no internet...

it is kind of a pain to enter the key every time....

what am i doing wrong and is there solution to it?

it didnt use to this and i have no idea what started it...

cheers and thanks for you help..

Have you gone to the connection properties page. Then advanced tab, one of has a little box to allow windows to manage your wireless network. as long as you network is specified to be automatic and is within range it should link you up everytime.

    WZC gets confused often.

Go to the wireless network's properties. On the "Wireless Networks" tab. Check the box ON that says "Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings". Now delete any/all networks you find there, and OK.

Now Search for wireless nets, when you find yours, connect and save the passkey.
