OK, so I am completely inept at this whole process, and the LinkSys website is down (of course)- so here I am! My question is as follows:

I recently lost my hard drive on my Dell, and they sent me a replacement- so I have had to reinstall all my apps. and stuff, including my wireless adapter. However, (and here's where it gets tricky) over the 2+ years that I have owned it (the Wireless-G Notebook Adapter, WPC54G, ver. 1.2) I have lost the setup CD that came with the stupid thing. Which means, my computer refuses to set it up! Does anybody know; if I can get the necessary setup application online, if so- then where, is it wrong to smash both the adapter and my computer into tiny unrecognizable parts, etc? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You don't need the setup CD. Just install the driver manually. I'm sure there are plenty of threads on how to do that and where to find the drivers. Most Linksys, Dell, or Broadcom drivers should work for your WPC54G v1.2 as they did for me. Good luck!
