    Hey all,

Sitting downstairs in my livingroom using the WPC54Gv5 card on my laptop my signal strength ranges from very low to very low.

Using a cheap nasty ebuyer.com w@lklan KWL-210 card the signal strength ranges from very good to exellent. Using another cheap nasty safecom SWLUS-1100 USB WiFi card I also get very good to exellent.

What gives with the wireless range of this card, i'd bet many a time the blame has been put on the router for poor performance.

    bit of a bump really

looking at the status of this card the signal strength really is all over the place. It can go down to no connectivity and flick right up to good connection.

its so erratic.... is it not measuring the signal strength in the same way other cards do ?

If you own a wireless pcmcia notebook card that gives you Exellent signal strength can you post the model number here pls.

Update: Just bought another pcmcia card from ebay. B band and sure enough the signal strength dosent move from "Exellent".... B band is king
