6047 Firmware Connects successfully (unlike 6046), but it will lose it's wireless connection after a while.

It will however reconnent automatically after a while.
Other wireless devices on the network stay connected.
It seems to be a problem with the WPA protocol.
Signal strength for the print server is good when connected.

    No problems when using WEP.
I have changed wireless channels etc.

    Router: WRT54GX w/Latest Firmware (1.02.02)

A Netgear Router (WGT634U) allows connection successfuly without dropouts, it even has a lower signal strength and is connected using WPA. It's strange how it won't work 100% with it's own brand but will work very good with another brand. As long as it's working I'm not too bothered, but the Netgear needs to be reset every week or so unlike the Linksys one and I would have preferred the print server to be connected to that.

Did you disable SSID broadcast. When I did with WPA-PSK I had trouble maintaing a connection Are you using WPA2 or both WPA and WPA2? I do not think the WPS54G supports WPA2 even with the beta firmware 6047.

I've got the same problem here with firmware 6048 and WPA2.
    Any solutions yet ?

6049 just came out. I've been having the same troubles as the rest of you with 6047&8, so hopefully 6049 works!!! I'll let you know...

Well, after 4 hours, 6049 has failed to resolve my dropout issues.

If anyone is getting WPA to work with this print server, please let me know..

I am using a WRT54GX using the latest firmware with WPA Personal/WPA2 Personal with AES & TKIP and connect with firmware version 6049.

Update: firmware version 6049 appears to hve problems. The WP2 is available on the Web client and does not save successfully. The Bi-admin utility does not show WPA at all. I have gone back to version 6047 and a least WPA-PSK TKIP works with that version.

I'm running WPA2-AES with 6049 just fine... And have not seen any dropout, even though SSID is disable.
I dont know if it has anything to do with it, but when it loaded the page http://xxxxxxx/w_basic.htm I qiuckly choose channel 10 (the one I use) before the dropdown menu said "auto", and hit' the save button...

6049 firmware is working fine for me, using WPA2 with SSID disabled.
