WRT300N unable to use wireless security

I bought a WRT300N router two weeks ago and could not get a stable wireless connection out of it. I also have a Dell Latitude D630 laptop with an Intel 4965agn wireless adapter. I got fed up with the router thinking it was faulty and exchanged it. I am on my second WRT300N and it has the same problem.

If I setup any wireless security (WEP, WPA, etc.) the wireless connection becomes flaky. After some time the connection drops and won't reconnect for a while (sometimes 10 minutes). During this time I can still connect via Ethernet, but I have to power cycle the router to re-establish a wireless connection. Sometimes that doesn't even work. I don't think the problem is my laptop because I have other wireless devices that also lose their connection at the same time.

Now I have disabled security (I am still using MAC filtering), and have maintained a connection nearly all day. I don't want to leave my network like this.

    Any ideas?

Its a shame to see so many questions go un answered on this formum!

Ok BadTA, first, tell me what firmware version you have in your router?

I also have the same problem I am using 1.03.7. The items that use wifi are a mac book pro,imac,ps3,psp,and iphone. The macbook pro can't get a connection if you are one floor below the router. Sorry in advance to hijack this thread I did not want to start a new one since one is having the same problem as I am.

OMG! I have the WORST luck! I returned a WRT350N for this same issue & got this WRT300N & this one has the SAME damn issue with wireless too!? I think it's time to leave Linksys. I really lost faith in them. This is the second Linksys wireless N product & they both suck!!! I'm returning this POS too!
