wrt350n / nslu2 performance differences?

I'm currently using an NSLU2 with NSLU2 Linux installed hooked up to two USB drives formatted as EXT3. Is there any performance benefit in purchasing a WRT350N for the Gigiabit Ethernet speed in USB transfers? Will I see a significant improvement in transfer speeds or is it around the same? Presumably I'd need a USB hub to hook up the two drives, which I assume would lower my throughput to each drive, but probably the bottleneck is not on the USB side. Also, I've seen in other threads that the WRT350N does not support EXT3 so I'd have to reformat my drives, unless a firmware update has since fixed that. Any thoughts here? Would love to get a reliable and fast NAS as the NSLU2 is a bit slow for large data transfers and streaming HD video.
