I bought this unit to replace my hub. I have three computers in a wired network. Two have XP home and the third has win98.

I wanted to use the WRT45G for wireless file sharing from the computer it's plugged into and the other two computers. The other two have wireless cards installed.

I have no broadband connection available, therefor nothing plugged into the "internet" jack.

Is there any firmware version that will enable the WRT45G to route wireless signals to the four wired ports?

No need for special firmware. You're basically asking the WRT54G to become a wireless hub, which it already is. Power it up, set up security on your network, configure your wireless clients, and have fun.

My wireless computer can see the WRT54 administration page but it doesn't see any of the wired computers.

The wired computers can see each other.

My problem is connecting between wired and wireless ports.

They are all on the same workgroup. If the notebook is plugged into the wired port, it sees the other computers. It cannot find them via it's wireless card.
