WRT54G bought in the US, will it work in Europe?

I want to buy WRT54G in the US as a Christmas gift for my family in Europe. I checked with Linksys support, and they told me if I buy it in the US, the power adapter will only work with 110-120V (US voltage), and not with 240V. I'd appreciate if somebody could verify it, i.e. check if it says so on the power adapter itself. If this is the case, is there anyway I could get it to work in Europe? Linksys told me they don't sell power adapters separately, could I use 3rd party power adapter of the same specifications? Or do I need a heavy duty voltage converter?

I'd be very grateful for any help! I'm quite desperate, because Linksys simply told be to buy in Europe, but I don't really want to buy 4 times as much as here, so i'm checking other options.

    Thank you.

You will have to buy and adapter that converts 240v to 120v over in Europe. Myself I would just buy the router in Europe, with the currency exchange I believe it would work out to be about the same price for it anyhow. Hope this helps. :thumb:
