My connection speed can vary from 1 Mbps to 54 Mbps within a few moments.
I am not moving around any great distances from the router which is one flight up in our home.

Is this normal behavior? (I have checked my DHCP Active IP Table and no one else is on my network which is WEP enabled.)

    Thanks in advance.

    (I am using firmware: v1.00.7, Feb. 16, 2006 )

The best way to test to see if its interference in your home or the router and computer not playing nice is to move very close router and see if you get the same symptoms. If so then its the router or the computer, if all works well in the same room it is mostlikely interference at home. Sometimes you can get around it but upping the output power and sometimes you have to track down what it is thats causing it. I.E. phones, microwaves, electrical wires in the walls, and beilieve it or not if you live in an apartment complex, it could be your neighbors.
