I am trying to figure out why my router does not renew it's IP addresses (the ones it sends out to the laptop/desktop/voip, not the one it draws from the cable modem)

It I set the time to 0, then I have to reboot the router daily. I have set the time to the max of 9999 so as to avoid the problem for as long as possible, but when that time has elapsed, I have to hard boot my router to get it to issue the IP addresses again.

The people at linksys are clueless. I am looking for ideas here.

are you running stock or custom firmware?
what version of the firmware are you using?
have you tried disabling and re-enabling the DHCP server on the rotuer yet?
have you checked to see if the computer makes a DHCP request from the server when the lease expires?
have you checked if a new computer can come online after the lease expires on one of your systems?

good place to start, should give more info if you can find that out...
