Here I go. I have an HP Printer with Jet Direct that is to far away to run a cable. So I'd like to have a wireless router (DLink524 or LinksysWRT54G - you tell me)connected to the printer via cable giving the printer an IP address. I'd like to have the other wireless router connected to the cable modem sending out wirelessly an IP address to the router next to the printer. I am running Tomato 1.17 in WRT54G.

Do I need the access point between the two routers for communication purposes? If so how do I get the AP to communicate with the router next to the printer?

Anyway if anyone has suggestions I am all ears.

    Many thanks.

Well your easiest fix is to get a wireless bridge. You can accomplish this with another router and do it via WDS or making the second router a wireless client of the first (though this route will be a bit harder to configure). Could also get a wireless print server and yes i know you dont need it but they are basically a wireless bridge with print server funtions.
