WRT54G must be restarted every 18-24 hours

    Modem: Scientific Atlantic, Webstar: DPX100
    ISP: Wide Open West
    Router: WRT54G

    Since installing this router two months ago, every 18 to 24 hours the router and modem must be restarted after loosing my internet connection, I could still ping the router, but nothing on the internet. A new router is 3 days old, with latest fireware. I have been told that there is a IP address conflict with this modem and router. Because of that I have changed my IP address on the router to
    Has anyone else had problems with this combination of modem and router or, ISP? Any suggestions are needed!

    I've had that porblem also. After complaining to the ISP it suddenly didn't appear no more. I think your problem is the same and let me assure you it isn't the box but your ISP that's disconnecting after a few hours when there is no traffic from your LAN to the WAN.
