I have a linksys wrt54g v2.2 router with the original firmware. i wanted to connect this router to my friends VPN server at his house. I need my wrt54g to be able to take in the same VPN info i enter in my computer (server address, account name, password, etc.). This way my laptop doesn't have to do the VPN connection and instead my router does.

Is this possbile to do? And i see a few firmware options that i could change to, which one would be able to do this and be the easiest to do this in? (i'm only ok with networking). I was looking into the dd-wrt. But even that had a few options in the downloads such as "standard-generic" or "vpn-generic". Which one would i have to install?

I'm also looking for something where i could easily enable and disable the vpn as i needed so that i'm not always connected to his network.

i'm new to this so any advice/help would be appreciated. thanks.
