Until recently, I used my WRT54G router and Netmeeting to connect via Webcam to my Dad's computer in another state. He ison cable modem, no router (or firewall!) and I'm was using v 1.? of my WRT54G firmware with my dsl modem. When I "upgraded" the firmware to 3.x?, things got complicated. I haven't been able to connect to his computer with Webcam through Netmeeting since. I've been on other Netmeeting boards, and have tried many of their suggestions including:
Putting my router in the DMZ--we can connect our computers but no audio or video.
Port Forward specific ports Netmeeting uses - couldn't connect at all.
Port triggering using specific ports Netmeeting uses - couldn't connect at all.

The Netmeeting geeks I've contacted are very surprised that the Webcams don't connect when I've placed my PC in the DMZ. Is it possible m router isn't really putting my PC in the DMZ? (Yes, the light for DMZ is on).
Should I use a different firmware version? Anyone with experience using netmeeting and this router? I'm about ready to change routers.

    Thanks and Merry Christmas.

I am in the exact same boat. I have tried everything, and cannot get netmeeting to work with the wrt54g. I do this kind of crap for a living, I'm not a newbie, I understand all the port fowardings, DMZ etc., I've tried everything under the sun and nothing works.

Has anyone ever got netmeeting to work with the wrt54g? Can anyone from linksys confirm this works, and not just say "use a dmz". The DMZ simply doesn't work.

Folks, you may find that there is already another short discussion on H.323 support.
