WRT54G pptp client and managed switch

I work at a school where there are 2 separate networks. One for the teachers (controlled by the Education Department) and one for the students (controlled for the school). The situation I have is there is 1 room in the school that is not cabled, so I decided to setup a wireless network that extended the teacher network.
Now recently it was decided that both networks needed to be accessed. So instead of setting up a different wireless network I though it'd probably be easier to just setup a vpn and access both networks through the 1 wireless network.

Now here is where it gets tricky, I was wondering if I could use the inbuilt vpn client (that comes with the sveasoft satori 4.0 firmware) but I would only want the pptp client to bind to the 4 ethernet ports, so the idea being that I could connect computers via ethernet cable to the wrt54g and they would be on the student network. But if a computer connected wirelessly it would be on the teacher network. I've read somewhere that the WRT54G can act like a managed switch, so I assume this must be possible, but I have no idea how to use the pptp client or how to bind it to selected ethernet ports.

The alternate is to get the computers themselves to run the pptp client, but it would be easier to let the router handle the vpn connection because all the computers are running windows 98.

    Ideas anyone?
