My setup is as follows. 1 RT31P2 Linksys VONAGE adapter. 1 WRT54G wireless adapter and 1 WRTP54G Wireless VONAGE adapter (Separate business account. Vonage will not put the same number on 1 device.)

My D-Link modem, with Comcast, is hooked directly to the RT3 in the basement (House is wired) Phone and internet work perfect. Hard wired up to the WRTP54G with some strange arrangement from Vonage, all is well but the wireless is weak. That’s why I’d like to introduce the WRT54g as an access point. For my other Laptops upstairs.

I’ll tell you what I’ve done. I’ve connected the WRT and WRTP directly to the RT3. I’ve disabled the DHCP on the WRT and have the IP changed. I’m getting better signal out of the upstairs, but my network printer connected to the WRTP will not connect…..I haven’ even tried my network storage device.

Any info or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Or a more simple plan.

    Thanks regardless.
