It seems as though when I play PS2 online for a little while I will always get disconnected. Although the internet connection remains up for all the computers in my house. Wired and wireless. I attempted to hard code an IP address for me PS2 but the problems persisted, I also tried to add the PS2's IP to the DMZ but that didnt help either.

Could it be my router thats causing the problem?

Is the router your problem? Most likely. The only thing you can do really is either try the latest firmware for the router, or load a third party firmware on it.

I loaded the latest firmware and its still taking a dump when I play online. Computers and wireless is fine, just online PS2 it drops the connection. It makes no sense to me whatsoever.

The PS2 needs a static IP not DHCP and that cant be in the DHCP range of IPs also you MUST DMZ the static IP to the PS2, should work fine then, also make sure you dont have any ports forwarded the the PS2 IP address.
