WRT54G v5 - Slow DSL speeds wirelessly vs. wired

    Hello everyone.

    I posted this over at broadbandreports.com and wanted to follow-up here as well.

    Anyone heard of severe DSL performance degradation using wireless-G vs wired connection on the WRT54G? When I'm cabled directly into the router, here are my DSL speeds, via Oplink.net/speedtest:

    Last Result:
    Download Speed: 4113 kbps (514.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
    Upload Speed: 629 kbps (78.6 KB/sec transfer rate)

    Unfortunately, when I go wirelessly, I get this:

    Download Speed: 1750 kbps (218.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
    Upload Speed: 620 kbps (77.5 KB/sec transfer rate)

    I've tried WPA2 (TKIP & AES), WEP, and no encryption with similar results. I also have a Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 that's doing the exact same thing. I'm at a total loss. Any help would be appreciated.
