I got WRT54G V8 running latest firmware V8.002. It works fine as long as I'm not using wireless link, only desktop connected trough the ethernet. When I'm connecting my Sony laptop that runs Vista, I'm experiencing intermitent router lockups. It drops wireless link and stop broadcasting, so my laptop does not see it anymore. It also disconnects my desktop from the internet. However, all lights on the front panel are the same as they were in the working state. To get the router out of this I have to powercycle it.

The other strange thing with the router i'm observing when I set it on channel 1 or 11 as was suggested in one of the forums to avoid possible interferance with the 2.4GHz cordless phone. The router starts acting up periodicaly dropping both (wireless and wired) links and rebooting itself. At least it looks like it's rebooting since light at the "Cisco Systems" button goes off and the power LED starts blinking. And again, it only happens if my Laptop is on. I've already replaced the router blaming it on the hardware but it did not help.

Does anybody have any idea why I'm getting such weird behaviour?
