WRT54G + WalMart = No rebate?

I've been hunting around trying to find this, but no dice. Maybe someone can help...

I bought a WRT54G a couple of days ago from Walmart for the princely sum of $50, a true bargain since it was a V4 unit and worth far more than a V5, of course. I'm happy having the unit for that price...

However, I've noticed that there are a bunch of Linksys rebates being offered, which includes a $10 or $15 rebate on the WRT54G. But all of the rebates are tied to particular vendors or groups of vendors. $10 is $10, and if I can get it, I will. ;)

So, what the heck, I'll ask... Does anyone know where I can get a rebate form for this Linksys unit that is good on a Walmart purchase? Long shot, I know, but figured I'd ask.

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help.

    I'm in the same boat!

I ended up going to Best Buy, since they had it for $66 - $30 in MIR's, but I purchased a couple of them before I had read the information that v5's dont work -- Best Buy sells only v5...so don't bother going there.

So I wanted something quick, so I was going to go to Office Max, they had the WRT54GS for $74, instant $15 rebate + $15 MIR (or maybe its $74 after the instant $15 rebate, I forget). Passed the local Walmart, and decided for the heck of it, just to run in and check...sure enough, they had the v4 for $50, but only had one left! So on my way back across town to return the v5's to Best Buy, I stopped by the Walmart out there -- same story, I grabbed their last one in stock! Appears to be no rebate offered by Walmart -- but I am under the impression that the $15 rebate was offered by Linksys.

I did however locate the rebate form that goes direct to Linksys, on Office Depot's site:

They list all stores eligible...but Walmart is nowhere to be found!

On the rebate form (link above), they have printed http://www.web-rebates.com/Linksys - bit that didnt yield much of anything.

I have a 'potential' method that MIGHT work... go to one of the stores listed in the above PDF...buy the item (or max 2 items per household), and return it. Best Buy for example gave me back my original receipt with the original purchase and such. Then use that receipt, even if you purchased from Walmart. Problem solved? Sure it's immoral, unethical, but hey, $15 is $15 (or $30 in my case as I bought 2).
