I hope someone can help me with this. I have setup a WRT54g wireless router connected to a linksys broadband modem. I have a desktop machine XP SP1 that is connected via ethernet cable and works fine. I have a laptop Windows Server 2003 that has a linksys wireless card that can browse the internet. When opening IE 6 it freezes for approx 2 mins before working normally. Browsing will then be fine until i click on somthing that opens in a new window and then again i will have to wait 2 mins or so. What could be causing this? If i connect a BT modem directly to the laptop via USB it works fine.

    Any help would be great.

these routers run linux so they hate microsoft. and refuse to work unless there is no reason for them not to.
try windows update and flash your firmware. on the router
that is all i can say.

    Thanks for responding.

I found the problem. The DHCP on the router was passing out a dns server address of the modem. I removed the DNS address and it worked fine.
