Anyone have any idea how to get around the incompatibility problem with the WRT54GC and the Nintendo DS Wi-fi Service?

The Nintendo DS finds the router allright, but just can never connect to the service. My PSP works just fine with the router, so it's working...

Running on Firmware 1.04.5 (EU), no security features set (firewall disabled, no WEP, etc.).

Will any new firmware be released soon to fix it or is it a case of return it to the shop for something new?

Dude it should be a matter of port forwarding, but i don't have a DS, but a lot of games have that kind of trouble

    Answer: Yes

I have a WRT54GC, and I haven't been loving it - however, finally got Nintendo WiFi to work. Steps:

    upgraded firmware (well, naturally)
set up "static" DHCP so that my DS is
    put in the DMZ
MAKE ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN THAT YOU CAP TRANSMISION TO 1-2 MBPS!!!! (this was my problem for a LONG time)

(I'm not running WEP, I'm simply doing MAC filtering)

    Hope this helps!

p.s. I have a better antenna, boost the signal way better than crappy one built in!
