    A week ago I bouth a WRT54GC router.

I've got cable internet from portuguese Netcabo ISP.

I've wired my desktop to the router, but I can access internet.

With the laptop the wireless connection is detected, but can not connect also to the internet.

From my ISP told me that they have a dynamic IP, so I chose DHCP connection.

All lights, both from the router and modem, are on.

Can someone give me a tip for the solution?

Look at the Status page on the router - it will tell you if the ISP has issued you with an IP address (a real internet one, not 192.168.?.? or 169.?.?.?). If they haven't, then there could be some compatability issue with your ISP / cable modem.

If you do get an IP from your ISP, then sounds like an issue with LAN side addressing. Is your laptop set to DHCP? DO you have the DHCP server on the router setup right?

Do you have more than one PC on the LAN - if so, can they speak to one another?
