How come the Official Linksys site doesn't show the firmware?

How do we differentiate the product from US and EU??

Mine is pre-loaded with v1.02.9 but the US site shows only v1.02.8..
Does the means mine is the EU version and can I use the new EU one?

If you have 1.02.9 as your ORIGINAL firmware, you definitely have a WRT54GC with EU code.

My unit came from Singapore but originally had US code. It's now running fine with the EU code. The major difference is US allows only up to channel 11, while ETSI allows more.

I found the link to the new firmware at the German site:

but if you prefer English (or some other EU langages), get it from the link I provided in the first post.

In addition to what is mentioned in the readme, this v1.04.5 also fixes the UPnP that was broken in v1.03.0. Thanks for the find!

I have to eat my words about the uPnP fix. Only when I restart the router, the uPnP seems to work ok. After a while, the WRT54GC responds to the SUBSCRIBE command with a 500 Internal Server Error

This EU upg also fix the flaw in the Port Forwarding Page. See my other post.

How do u test this uPnP?
