I'm having issues with random disconnects from the network forcing me to repair the connection every now and then.

I'm using a HP Nc6400 notebook, XPSP2 with a intel 3945 ABG card and intels latest drivers. The WRT54GC is v2 I believe and I have found no suiting firmware upgrades for it, it's connected to a adsl router and another computer through cat5.

I've tried tweaking both the intel and the linksys settings to no avail,
    Authentication Type: Auto(Default)Transmission Rate: Auto(Default)
    Basic Rate: Auto(Default)
    CTS Protection Mode: Auto(Default)
    DTIM Interval: 1
    Fragmentation Threshold: 2306
    RTS Threshold: 2304
    Beacon Interval: 50msec

I'm using wpa security, and have now tried to only use the G network to see if it helps.

Any thoughts on this issue, it is probably the routers fault? Are there any firmware upgrades for it?

We are having the same random disconnects. I have updated to the latest Linksys firmware (V1.02.8). They refuse to acknowledge a problem with this model (WRT54GC). I think Linksys really missed it on this model.

We plan to replace it with a more reliable model (non-compact).
