This router is working fine, connecting 6 computers and one Lexmark C543dn Network Printer. The printer, which also works fine, is set to fixed IP In order to sign up for Lexmark Rewards program, they run a web software program that is supposed to find and identify the printer. It reports that it is unable to find a printer. Is there a setting in the router that could be blocking the search? How can I change it temporarily until this signup is complete? Thanks for any help. I got none from Lexmark after 42 minutes on the phone.

Have you setup port forwarding for your printer?
Did you change port number of your printer? If not, default port number should be 9100. Have a look into user manual.
So you need to forward port 9100 to IP
Then it should work and complete registration.

Thanks for your reply. I followed your suggestion, but it made no difference. The program doesn't actually say it can't find a printer, it says it "encountered a problem". The printer will produce a printout called "Menu Settings" that is supposed to include an "SID" number (which is required to MANUALLY complete the registration), but it is not there. A demo printer in the store DOES include that number, so it's possible my printer is defective. I'll pursue that with the dealer.

    Thanks again.

Exchanged the printer for another one. Problem solved.
