    WRT54GL v 1.1 @ Tomato Firmware RAF1.28.121006 (Victek MOD)

Hey guys, so lately I notice that the router has been "freezing" after a torrenting session after a few hours.

I cleared nvram, disabled logging and bandwidth logging to ease on the resources. No other computers are using torrents except for mine. There are about 3 or 4 computers connected, however the torrenting is done at night before bedtime and no other users are using their computer at that time.

I tried flashing to Teddy's firmware (Standard Build - May 2011) however, it still freezes after awhile. I tried limiting the number of connections to 800 but the router still freezes. What should it do?

Once its frozen, I am unable to ping the router nor access its webgui.

It's running out of resources from the sound of it. One way to prevent that is to reduce the timeout values to the lowest you can in Advanced/Conntrack - leave Est. TCP alone, reduce everything else, experiment to find your best settings.

Thanks Toastman. I tried reducing the values and shall try it out tonight.
