Has anyone seen this link? Any comments such as is it really what is says it is?

Any comments on using such firmware as Sveasoft or other 3rd party on it?

I am desperately trying to find a replacement for the WRT54G ever since v.5 came out.

The WRT54GL is just a rebadged WRT54Gv4. So yes it can run modified firmware just like the older 54g's

I have recommended the WRT54GL several times to people wanting aftermarket firmware, all have purchased it to good effect (running HyperWRT Tofu or Thibor in their cases).

As RTSAnime says above, it is a WRT54G V4 with a fancy new model number so they can charge more for it, and new firmware to change the model number. Anything that can go on a WRT54G V4 can go on a WRT54GL.

In fact, Tofu used the GL firmware instead of the G for his last few versions since it was more current.
