    I just bought the router and installed the new 3.17.4 Firmware from Linksys. I then set about installing a SIPURA SPA-1000. I am using a service from Zipglobal.com and the SPA-1000 came already setup for use.

    I am now struggling with trying to get the SPA-1000 to work. This is connected through the router throught and LAN cable and I am running a laptop on the WiFi. I am using a SIP based software solution from my laptop which works fine. But the SPA-1000 does not seem to work at all. When I pick up the phone I have connected to the SPA-1000 I get a dial tone and I can call numbers. But I get an engaged tone each time I call.

    I have tried to open all ports and finally I have disabled DHCP and put in a static IP on the SPA-1000 while running DMZ for the IP of the SPA-1000. I cannot think of anything else to do. I called the customer service of Zipglobal and they do not seem to be able to help. :(

    I read somewhere that a new firmware for WRT54G is available which takes care of some issues with VoIP boxes. Is there something I could use for my WRT54GS which would help (including other firmware from Sveasoft, etc)? :?
