I have read everything on google about this but have found no solution. I upgraded my wrt54gs router to the wrt300n and have put the g router downstairs, replacing the pc card, in hopes to use it as an access point. I dont reallt know what to do so if someone could provide detailed instructions that would be great.

ok i did get my computer to use it as an ap, but now it says both my ethernet adapter and wireless adapter have limited or no connectivity, and when i try to repiar then they have problems renewing the ip address? I am really lost with this one. My ethernet adapter is a built in nvidia nforce on the nforce4 ultra chipset, if anyone knows what i can do please post.

i also cannot edit my router's settings anymore, ive checked the ip address but it just says the connection has been reset

what version of WRT54GS do you have? a 3rd party firmware like Thibor15c will suffice in making the WRT54GS a basic AP.
