I am having trouble with UPNP not seemingly working for more than a few hours then it seems to fail until I force a reboot of the router...

    WRT54GS Firmware Version: v3.37.2 offical
    WINXP SP2 (SP2 FW/ICS service disabled)
NIS 2005 with Local LAN ( set as trusted (I have also tried it with NIS disabled and uninstalled)
Nvidia NF2U MB using onboard LAN

I also have trouble when flashing the firmware, the router seems to always get so pissed off that I am forced to force the firmware flash via TFTP a few times (2-7)...

I called Linksys and got a pos response about seting up the port forwarding... I would do that find but I want the advertised UPNP to work correctly so I am not forced to open ports to my network.

are you using azureus? azureus crashes the upnp daemon when it exits and tries to release its port mappings..

fyi, upnp does open ports on your router to your network it just does it automatically.
