Up until saturday my router worked fine - both wired and wireless. Then one of my mates decided to use BitLord to download some music for my girlfriend's son. By the time I became aware there was a problem, we had a frozen download, and worse, we've had no internet connection via the router since. We can connect through the cable modem, but not via the router. After looking at various sites, I'm now aware that torrenting can seriously mess up a linksys router, but the question is what now? I've e-mailed linksys (nothing yet) reset the router (no change) tried to update the firmware (PC can't connect to the router), rebooted the PC, modem and router in various sequences, and I can't connect to the setup screen. Before I either try to dig out my receipt and take it back to the store, or reboot the router in a more physical way, has anybody any suggestions?

Try to "Reset to Defaults" the router. I think it's like this:

    Plug out power.
Press Reset button at the back of the router with a pen (or something).
Plug in power (still pressing reset button).
Press reset button for at least 30 secs, then release.

Connect a PC to the LAN side of the router, see if you get an IP address, and if you can ping If not ~~Linksys
