I just got a WRV200, and have a few D-Link DI-804HV on an existing VPN. I got the WRV200 because the 804HV's were discontinued.

I'm trying to set up the VPN, and even going through everything carefully, the VPN is not working. Before I proceed any further, is interoperability between brands a lost cause?

Problem solved. Sometimes it pays to sit back and take a break.

I set the WRV200 to not use Autokeying, and use 3DES/MD5 for both ISA and IPSec. Lifetime for everything is 28800. Ditto for the D-link.
One important thing was to have PFS checked.

The other features such as DPD are unchecked, but I think they shouldn't make a difference.

This is on 1.0.38 firmware. Funny thing is the VPN Status screen is useless. It constantly says it is trying a connection, even when it is connected. Trouble shoot only by viewing the logs.

Hope this helps someone in need later.
