I have a WRV200 that will start sending icmp pings to the broadcast address of my lan after a reboot. It usually will start a couple hours after the reboot starts out slow then builds up until the network slows to a craw then dies. I have the latest firmware, reset the thing numerous times (factory default), security is enabled both wired and wireless. Acts like a dos attack or smurf bug. I gave up on Linksys tech support after they recommended I go without firewall/virus protection. I think they released a bad firmware version ( Anyone else notice this? Have any ideas on how I can make the crazy pinger stop! I’m about to buy a Netgear and feed this Linksys to my dumpster!

    No more WRV200

Unfortunately, I have decided to use the Linksys WRV200 as target practice. Not only would this pig bring the network to it’s knees with unwanted icmp traffic, the rf end was inadequate also. Very poor coverage. To top things off the Linksys tech support is really very bad. So I decided to pay the extra moneys for something that actually works reliably….Netgear ProSafe series! See ya Linksys

    Hi to all,

I have the same problem with several WRV200 but not all.
I do not know why but in some cases the network is going down and I hve to reset the WRV200.

Where can I get the firmwate 1.0.33? At the wesbsite I can only get!
