I sponsor a free wireless hotspot to a local beach.

I'd like to put in rules so that no one in the LAN can access the the admin login. This network is IP is: 10.0.0.*. I can log in from the WAN from the router above fine. Running firmware: 2.38, it seems when I add firewall rules, the router sloooowwwwsss down, on the order of a normal ping of the upside router of 3-4ms to a ping of over 1 second.

What is the format of the rule, and what firmware supports firewall rules?

    Here, try this instead...

Go into UPnP, and set your exterior port to "80" (http) and then make your interior port whatever port you want. This will allow you to turn of remote management. When I upgraded to the 50 user vpn client license, it overwrote 2.38, thus taking away my capability to specify any port I wanted to use for access. A friend (TVOS) showed me this trick.

Minor drawback is you have to type "80" in after your you enter your WAN ip for access...

Could this be an acceptable alternative for you?

Doesn't seem to work for me. What I want is to disable LAN&Wireless
from accessing the admin page, but leave it open to the WAN.

Not sure what you are trying to do is even possible, can I suggest using a VERY complicated UN/PW for access to admin pages under Administration>Management..........
