I've got a WRVS4400n with the 1.1.13 FW loaded since last week. After I did the upgrade my VPN access is working and I'm pretty happy about that. Now something else is causing me headaches.

My Laptop is an HP with Vista and an Intel 802.11N card. This weekend I was disconnected several times while trying to copy a bunch of pictures to my XP RAID drive. I check the log and there was no indication of a router restart and the laptop didn't seem to have a problem.

So I went into the Wireless settings and set the channel width to auto, and rebooted the router. After that My connection hasn't dropped but I noticed that my speed is being reported at 144mbps...

So the question is what can I do to get the speed up to the "N" range. I have the router set on channel 2 and i'm the only wifi in the neighborhood. I do have another wifi router in the house setup for my nintendo DS's, but it's set on channel 11 and at 25% power. So what are the primo settings to get the best wifi speed out of this router?
