hello, i have been using the WUSB54G wireless network adapter for a little over half a year. just recently only one of my units went down. i tried to reconnect to my network but no luck. i am using WEP and i entered the code perfectly. According to the network moniter i can see the access point, but i "cannot associate with it." i have already reinstalled the software twice but once again no luck.

My other computer (that i am using now) has the same adapter but it runs perfectly fine.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. oh and i am kind of new so please make it readable for me.

    Thank you.

goto the "change order of preferred networks" area and then remove all the networks in its memory, then manually add your network and make sure connect when network is in range is selected

From the above responses, you are using the linksys wireless utility and the windows utility. Please try to use either the linksys or windows utility.

    Wireless adapter issue

As i read through the messages, the linksys and the windows utility are running in the computer. Please try to use any one and not both. If you get the message "You are connected to the access point and not the internet", check the ip address in the wireless computer. It could be 169 ip address.

To resolve this we have several options.

    1. Disable WZC, restart the wireless computer and try to connect using the linksys utility under Site Survey tab. Then check the ip address.

    2. Remember that the linksys utility accepts only the pass phrase and not the wep key configured in the router.

    3. If you are using WZc, no pass phrase required. only the 10/26 digit key manually.

4.. Move the cordless phone away from the router/wireless computer.

    Give a response.

I'm having the same problem, and plan to try this when I go home, but how do you turn off the windows utility, OR how do you turn off the linksys utility?
