Does anyone know if Linksys ever resolved the issue with these cameras and the wireless not working? (I know they are discontnued now) I have 4 and 1 of them stopped communicating wirelessly (green light still showed activity but could not ping at all. Connected ethernet works fine, unplug and nothing again) I returned to Linksys and it was returned with the same fault. I got tired of dealing with them in all honesty.

Anyway have just purchased another camera off ebay, was a brnad new (still sealed in cellophane) and just configurig it and it has the same wireless issue stright out of the box.

Cameras are all configured correctly before anyone asks :)

    Any replies appreciated, tia.

What APs/firmware are you using? I have a couple of WVC54GCs (v1.1 ETSI), and found this:

    1) WRT54GL with dd-wrt v24, two VAPs (SSIDs) - one WPA2/AES Enterprize, one WPA/WPA2+AES/TKIP Personal (the latter for the cameras): Cameras connect, but tend to lose connectivity at times, mostly while sending mail with video.

    2) WRT54GL with Tomato 1.10, one SSID WPA/WPA2+AES/TKIP: Cameras remain connected.

I modded the GC firmware to watchdog ping known local hosts every few minutes, and reset the wireless interface if the pings fail.

I also have a WVC200, and this connects to either AP, and stays connected, without problems.

We use some of these WVC54GCs.
After some time many of them drop out their WLANs.
We use the Speedport 700 Routers, with static ips.

Your firmware would help ous very much.

Do you have o HowTo or maybe the direct firmware??

I searched the internet, and found a howto of some sorts (maybe even on this site), but now I have forgotten all howto. Sorry

US firmware version 1.25 seems to resolve the wireless issues. The ntp is still botched, but cameras now connect to Ciscos and other APs, with or without WMM enabled.

No issues that I know of. I connected a camera running US v1.25 to an AP on channel 13. (US only uses channels 1-11).
