In the FAQ, it talks about what to do when upgrading from dd-wrt. It mentions telnetting into the router and retrieving password. Why so difficult? I don't want to do any telnetting; I've never done it before; I don't even know what it is; I don't feel like figuring it out at this point in time... So, can't I just avoid that entirely and make things easy on myself? By doing a hard (30/30/30) reset? Doesn't that clear it to the default settings after flashing? What will the default user/password combo be then? Oh, btw, I would be upgrading from v23 sp2, which is BEFORE they introduced the new password thing, I believe. Right? Thanks a lot!
All that you need to do is from the Firmware Upgrade tab in dd-wrt select from the drop down "reset to default settings" and browse to the tomato firmware and send the upgrade like so. default will be u:root p:admin
