    Hey guys
    I have a WRT54G
I would just like to know if there is any way to cap the speeds or feed going to computers connected to the router via a wireless connection.

could i reduce the transmission rate or modify some of the advanced wireless settings to do so?

No, but what are you trying to do and maybe we can help figure something out.

Actually you probably could with HyperWRT if you set a QoS definition based the MAC address of the WiFi client. Just set the MAC and then choose the priority but this would only limit the amount of traffic it can consume based on who else is on the network at the same time. It won't cap the download/upload total amount.

actually, if you agree to lower the speed of all connected devices, you can just choose a minimum speed wirelees connection (1Mb).
This would force all client to connect to your router at that speed.

Of course, if you are trying to limit their connection to the internet through the router, this won't help that much, as this stays quite fast compared to cable/DSL speed.
