All I want to do it make a private physical folder. Have it show up when you go into the private area on the home-page within the private user area. And password protect it too if possible.

I've been in chat with linksys and its still not clear. I'm getting lost with the terms GROUPS, USERS, ACCESS and all that.

Can I make a physical folder on the drive hooked to the nslu2 thru the nslu2 units admin webpage?

thanks!

thanks! worked 1st time. you explained i n a few words what linksys tech couldnt make clear after 3 chat sessions. what I was missing is how to add/access the folder to add files. I now see from your example its not thru the net link but thru net neighborhood in explorer. needless to say, this was all new to me even though I got the linksys net link knowing it would basically do what I wanted.

Another question...

HELP!
Here I am again. Now I need to ask if there is or how to move files into these users I created? I see no way to do it thru the units web interface in ADMIN or any other area.
I can see these users in net neighborhood, and clicking on one asks for the username-password. Thats ok.
But if I click on another user/folder, it rejects the login...???

Is there a limit on user logins? And... how do I "log out" to switch user/folder in net neighboorhood???

In my experience, you will remain logged in until you reboot your computer. I don't know of a way to manually log out. This seems to be a Windows feature.

If I understand your situation correctly, you have created some share accounts that you would like to place various files in, corrrect? The easiest way to do this would be to log in as the administrator and have access to all accounts at once.
