Could somebody help me with my problem?

Setup:
I have a computer connected to my cable modem directly through the ethernet adapter. The computer also has a wireless network adapter (an internal 802.11g adapter set to 802.11b-only mode). I bought the Linksys Wireless Game Adapter (WGA11B) and set it up to connect to my computer and access the XBox live through Internet Connection Sharing on Windows XP. The wireless network between the computer and WGA11B does not use WEP encryption.

Problem:
The Xbox properly connects to XBox live. All the settings seem to work, I can send messages to friends, etc. However, when I attempt to use the Optimatch feature in Halo2 to find and join a game, the Xbox will try to find a game for about a minute and then lose the connection to XBox Live. Before I bought the WGA11B, my XBox was connected to my computer via crossover cable, and I still used ICS to connect to XBox Live. With that setup, I didn't have the disconnection problem, so I have to assume that it has something to do with the WGA11B or my computer's wireless network adapter.
